3 Wrestlers Qualify for IWCOA Fresh/Soph State!
Trey Boston, Eli Hill, and Ayden Williams have qualified for the IWCOA (Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association) State on Saturday at the BOS Center in Springfield. Trey Boston finished Sectional Champion and Eli Hill and Ayden Williams were Sectional runner-up in their respective weight classes. Congratulations and best of luck!

Scholastic Bowl wins Back to Back Regionals, Sets School Record with 40 Wins!
The Scholastic Bowl won the IHSA 1A regional to go Back to Back! The Trojans defeated Pawnee 460-140 in the regional Semi-Final and took down Piasa in the Championship round 410-280. This pushed the team to 40 wins, a first in school history! The team will travel to Lincolnwood on Saturday for the Sectional as they will take on New Berlin, Gillespie, and Metro East Lutheran beginning at 10 AM.Congrats to Coach Robinson and the team!

Boys Basketball sets new school record with 30 wins!
Auburn Boys Basketball finished their 24-25 season in record setting fashion. The Trojans fell to Williamsville in the Sweet 16 Sectional Championship game and ended with a 30-5 record, setting the school record in wins that was set last year at 27. The Trojans won the Bill Rucks Thanksgiving Tournament, the Waverly Holiday Tournament (First since 2009), The Sangamon County Tournament (Back to Back), and the IHSA 2A Greenville Regional (3rd in 4 years). The Trojans will graduate 10 Seniors who combined for a 103-32 record in four years. Carter Hunley finishes his career as a 1,000 point scorer as well as being selected to all three All-Tournament Teams. Cooper Carter was selected to the Sangamon County All-Tournament Team and Clayton Kessler was selected to the Waverly Holiday All-Tournament Team. Outstanding job!

Senior Clayton Kessler was selected as an IHSA All-Academic Honorable Mention Team Member for his outstanding work on the playing field and in the classroom. 6th Grade Boys win Bob Hilligoss Memorial Tournament!
6th Grade Boys went undefeated in the Bob Hilligoss Memorial Basketball Tournament. The Tournament that was created by Mr. Hilligoss was officially deemed the Bob Hilligoss Memorial 6th Grade Basketball Tournament before games began this year to honor the impact that he had. Below is what was read before the event with family members and former players in attendance. In 1967 Mr. Bob Hilligoss was the class sponsor of the eighth grade class that became the graduating class of 1971.Mr. Hilligoss was a master fundraiser and suggested the class put on a 6th grade basketball jamboree. No one had heard of this and he explained it would be five teams playing each other one quarter. At the time there were no sixth grade tournaments around. The five original teams were Divernon, Auburn, Pawnee, Virden, and Girard. The First jamboree was won by Divernon. It was played in the old gym and it was packed! Boys Basketball Takes down Greenville for the Regional Championship!
The Auburn Boys Basketball team moved to 29-4 with a 56-43 Regional Championship win over Greenville. The Trojans will take on Pleasant Plains on Tuesday at 7pm back in Greenville at the Sectional. This is the 3rd Regional Championship in the last four years for the Trojans! There will be a fan bus for Tuesdays game. Auburn Students can sign up in the High School Office.

Five High School Wrestlers Qualify for IWCOA Sectionals!
The Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officlas Association State tournament began this past weekend and five Trojan wrestlers advanced to the Sectionals. Congratulations to Eli Hill, Trey Boston, Noah Duncan, Colby Midiri, and Ayden Williams and best of luck at Sectionals in Granite City. The IWCOA State Tournament is for Freshman and Sophomore only.

Carter Hunley became the 25th player in the history of Auburn Boys Basketball to acheive the 1,000 point milestone. Carter achieved this during a home game against Pleasant Plains on 2/5/25. We want to congratulate Carter on this outstanding achievement!

7th Grade Boys Basketball are 7-3A Regional Champs!
The 7th Grade Boys Basketball team are IESA 7-3A Regional Champions after a 31-20 win at Divernon. The Trojans came in as the #1 seed in the regional and defeated East Alton Wood River 70-23 in the opening round and beat Pittsfield 47-26 in the semifinal game. The Trojans will take on East St. Louis Lincoln on Monday February 3rd in at Auburn Junior High in Divernon. The game is set for a 6:30pm start. Congratulations to Coach Karhliker and the boys!
